Bill Pabst
Born on August 29th, 1926 in Hillrose, Colorado- Bill was a special person characterized by wisdom and courage. From humble beginnings, Bill exemplified resilience and determination. Growing up on a farm, he learned the value of hard work and perseverance, traits that would shape his character for the rest of his life. Bill served as a medic in Wolrld War II where he exhibited bravery and remarkable devotion to helping others. Later in life, Bill worked at a meat packaging plant in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He also acted as the Chief of the Hillrose/Synder Volunteer Fire Department , where his devotion to the Hillrose community is memorialized. Bill loved the outdoors and found solace in the simple pleasures of life- hunting, fishing, golf, and tending to his garden. Bill passed on January 10, 2004 and will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father and a cherished grandfather.
Betty Pabst
Born on December 8th 1932 in Brush, Colorado- Betty was a remarkable person whos life was defined by hard work, compassion and unwavering kindness. Betty grew up in a family of 11 children (7 sisters and 3 brothers) and spent most of her life on a farm. Her parents were immigrants from Germany and helped shape her identity as a headstrong person with extraordinary work ethic. After marrying Bill Pabst in 1952, the two lived a simple life in Eastern Colorado, where they became pillars of strength to their family and friends. Betty became the Post Master in Hillrose, Colorado where she left a lasting impact on the community. In her spare time, she loved to read books, knit, and do crossword puzzles. She loved her grandchildren and acted as a role model characterized by kindness and devotion to family. Betty passed on February 12, 2019 and will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
