Family Archive FAQs

What is the best way to view the photos?

The archive is large with over 3000 photos, so finding the best way to display them is challenging. To help keep things manageable and  ensure fast load times, I have  kept each gallery to a max of 150 photos. However, the entire gallery may be accessed and viewed by following the downloads link at the bottom of each page.

What is the best way to view the videos?

While a few videos are embedded on my website, such as the one on the archive home page, most are private videos and only viewable on YouTube. Private links to each video are housed on the "Home Videos" page. If you would like to watch these videos on a smart TV I recommend that you first access the video from you phone via the direct link. Once you have done that, create a personal playlist and save the video there. Then sign in to YouTube on your TV and locate the playlist that you created from your phone. Note that you will not find the videos by searching my name in YouTube from your TV.

Where are the photos stored?

All photos and videos are stored on an external SSD hard drive and backed up on my website. If you would like a copy of the external SSD, please let me know.

Can I download photos?

Yes, each gallery has a download link at the bottom of the page. Upon clicking the link you will be redirected to a page in which you may download the entire gallery or selected photos. Please note: you will be asked to provide your email address while being redirected. This is required so that you can receive an email containing the photos.

Can I contribute?

If you would like to contribute and have your photos safely stored, I have created a Google Form in which you may submit photos. Please follow this link and new tab will be opened in your browser containing the form. If you are asked by Google to request access, please do so and I will grant you access.

Are photos private?

Yes, all collections and photos are private and can only be accessed by the password you used to access the Family Archive homepage.
